The Macintosh operating system has always made it easy to capture a screen shot. A screen shot is an image of your computer desktop or an active window. Here's a summary of all the keyboard shortcuts you can use to capture your screen in Mac OS X.
A. Entire screen:
Press Command-Shift-3 to take a screenshot of the whole screen. The screenshot will be saved as a PNG image on your desktop. To copy a screenshot of a whole page to the clipboard, do the following: 1. Press Command-Control-Shift-3 to copy the whole screen. The screenshot will be automatically saved to the clipboard. Screenshot part of the screen: 1 To screenshot MacBook pro or others, you should press Command + Shift + 4 keys simultaneously. With this shortcut, you'll be able to capture a part of the screen. 2 As you press the keys, a cross will appear on screen with some numbers. You can drag the cross across the area which you want to capture. How to screenshot on MacBook Pro Open the window you would like to capture. Click Command-Shift-3 simultaneously. Wait till you hear the shutter sound. You can easily take a screenshot of the entire screen of your MacBook Pro M1 by using the keyboard shortcut of Shift + Command + 3.
